Economic Buzz: U.S. Unemployment Rate Falls, Non-Farm Payrolls Rises

The U.S. Department of Labor said the unemployment rate fell to a seasonally adjusted 7.5% during the month of April, from 7.6% in the preceding month. Analysts had expected the U.S. unemployment rate to remain unchanged at 7.6% last month.
The U.S. Department of Labor said non-farm payrolls rose to a seasonally adjusted 165K during April month, from 138K in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from 88K. Analysts had expected U.S. non-farm payrolls to rise 145K last month.
